First, I hope everyone’s holiday were joyous and filled with good cheer. Just a couple of quick notes about this month…..No general meeting due to our annual banquet (Jan 25th more details below).

The nominations are in and the ballots counted, there has been a few changes in our board but you will have to come to the banquet to find out.

There will be a multiple choice for entries and price includes bottomless non-alcoholic beverages, dessert, tax and tip!

Our December charter out of 22nd street landing was cancelled due to bad weather. Marc Harrison will make a announcement at the banquet about the particulars or refunds, etc.

Membership Renewals

Membership dues are DUE. Although there has not been raise in dues for a couple of decades, there has been minimal increase.

$40 Individual
$60 Family

Everyone please lets get current on our dues and start the New Year with a membership drive and find friends, family and neighbors to join,.

Annual Holiday Breakfast

For those that went will be in agreement we had a blast sharing breakfast instead of our monthly dinner and to throw in the gift exchange, lots of fun for all in attendance.

Club Points for the Year

It was a close race and Marc Glasser and David Greenleaf had a chance to wear the Championship jacket or to loose but due to the last trip being cancelled the winner goes to….

Lets congratulate them and give them a challenge next year by sigining up early for the monthly charters.

NEW YEAR, Lets Go Fishing

Although our season will not open until March 1st, you can always go out and get your gear ready.  Book your charters with Marc Harrison and lets have an awesome year of fishing.  Marc will be at the banquet with pen in hand.  Be the first on the list as some charters are limited loads.  There is also some talk of day trips throughout the year.

As I write my last newsletter, I would like to reiterate my message throughout the year.  No matter what our fishing bag looks like lets have fun and keep fishing GREAT!!

We are a fishing club who loves the outdoors and being on the Sea, we are always looking for new members who have a passion for fishing like we do, if this is you we have a meeting the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm at Lulu’s Restaurant in Van Nuys, CA. Come on down and check us out.

The Club has monthly meetings with Expert Speakers, Monthly Raffles, Newsletter, Community Service / Kids Trip & Mentoring, Club BBQ, Club Breakfast, Club Championship Awards, Annual Banquet and Awards Dinner, and much much more.
